Great book!! Enjoyed it fully!!! I felt very identified with this book because of rock-climbing which is one of my biggest passions in life. Also I really feel inspired by our author, Aron, because after the accident that happened to him and after choosing a hard decision indeed, he managed to survive and to still be behind his dreams of rock-climbing and forming a family in which he now has a child who was born on 2010!!

Between a Rock and a Hard Place's book made a grand slam by getting awarded by The Best Seller from New York Time, afterwards this book was made a movie called 127 Hours in which James Franco appeared as Aron Ralston and made a great job in the film directed, co-written, and produced by Danny Boyle. Just as much movies made out of books this movie can't be compared at all with Between a Rock and a Hard Place which makes you imagine more in your mind than what you saw in the movie!

Who is our Author? Well our author and also our main character from 127 Hours's name is Aron Ralston. Who is he? Aron Ralston was born on October 27, 1975 in Marion, Ohio. He grew up and went to Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood, Colorado (Colorado, great places for rock-climbing). Aron recieved a college degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh of mechanical engineering and french. Afterwards he went working on Phoenix Arizona but chose to quit his job to pursue a life of climbing mountains in Aspen Colorado, this was on 2002. Time passed and one year later the accident occured, even though after this Aron continued his life and you can see him joking about his arm in the picture besides. He is now married and has one child!!

There are lots and lots of actions in the story. The main ones are obviously when he is trapped in between this rock and this other hard place; but while trapped and as many people say, "when you're about to die, you see all of your memories through your eyes" and that's one of the stuff that Aaron experiences when he is trapped. He remembers all that happened through his life and writes it to make this journal. He remembers his firsts trips and memories with his mom and other stuff because he thought and maybe if he wouldn't done what he did he would've died.

The setting goes on at the Canyonlands National Park at the Horseshoe Canyon District in Utah, where the accident happened.
Somewhere between the Great Gallery and the word in green National was where the accident happened and our main character lost his arm.

Aron Ralston who is the principal and only character from this story and the author of the story. There are other characters but they are incidental and not very important. I can tell this because Aron decides to make this expedition by himself and thought that it would last some hours but then he realizes that it is longer than expected.

 I chose this book because I saw the movie from this book and looked up Aron's  story and he is a rock climber just like me. I felt identified with Aron because I've also been on hard situations and I like to rock climb a lot and be on expeditions but in a less dangerous way.
